Good morning!

Okay this is a little late, but great job for the Christmas concert, everybody!

As the new year approaches, there MAY be a slight alteration to the current section allocation. Before anything is finalized, if you guys wish to transfer to another section, please email me at finger-prints@hotmail.com. The email should include your name, the section you wish to transfer to, and of course, the reasons behind it. Please email me by the 27/12/09. Note that this would not guarantee a switch though.

On another note, the first tentative practice next year would be 5th Jan ‘10, Tuesday, 9-12pm, so please keep that free. There would probably be another practice during that week though. We’d confirm the dates and time with you guys soon. Also, we would be emailing out a scan of one of the pieces we would be playing next year, ‘Tea for Two’ by tomorrow night, so please download it and try it on your own before the next practice. Till then, enjoy what’s left of our holiday!

Need some help here….

A metronome went missing on concert day!>:( If any of you guys have any idea where it is, please tell junipher/me. It says ACJC G2 at the back of it.

Also, our guitar room is in a terrible state now. It doesnt even look like a storeroom, it looks like some RUBBISH DUMP. ): The Camp comm especially the games comm!We need you to clear the rubbish asap, and separate the stuff you want to keep from the stuff you want to throw. Our seniors fought hard for this room so we should keep it clean!Anyway im sure you dont want to open your guitar case and have a cockroach running out.eekkk (Really, it’s in a huge mess)

Hello ensemble, stella here.

Anyway, just wanted to tell you all, good job for all the hard work put in for the christmas concert. Especially the deco, log people who came earlier to shift stuff, the pub people who thought out our ticket design, the welfare com as well as the exco, you all totally outdid yourselves.

And  to the camp committee, a veryveryvery good job on planning the awesome camp, i really really enjoyed the games to the max, im sure the rest did too. I think many of us got to bond through this, and this camp made it possible to get the decorations up and our playing up to standard. Saw some members practising late at night, really touched the heart.

Ohyeah before i forget, we managed to raise $3307.50 for club rainbow through our concert. So really, our efforts were not for nothing.

All the best for next year guys, have a good well-deserved rest!

Reporting attire: School based shirt & pants/skirt with sneakers (the same sneakers that you’ll be wearing on stage)

LIST OF THINGS TO BRING ON CONCERT DAY

1) White polo tee, jeans (to change into after dinner)
2) Guitar File (with scores arranged in order + lyrics of the songs)
3) Guitar
4) Tuner (if you have it)
6) Some money for meals
7) Make Up kit (for girls) (light make-up will be sufficient)

8 ) Small towel (for washing up)

just to add, for tomorrow, the concert will end around 8.50pm. Everyone will have to help pack up the LT4 and the holding rooms, including removing the decorations and putting the stands back in the guitar room. We aim to end by 9.30pm, if we’re fast, but the time we can go home depends on how fast we work. So we’ll be can leave at around 9.30 to 10pm.

thanks so much for all the hard work, hopes the concert turns out well tomorrow. Please please dont be late, if not everything will have to be pushed down, but we can’t because our concert has to start exactly on the dot at 7.30pm. please look at the previous post for updates as to what is happening tmr as well. allright and have a good rest!

Hi ensemble

changes have been made to the pre-concert programme given to you guys earlier today during camp. In case you didnt know what the changes were, here is the AMENDED PRE-CONCERT PROGRAMME:

there are two changes and they are in RED

In your copy of the pre-concert programme, it has been stated that you guys would be allowed to leave school for lunch… however, after some thought, we decided against it. We’re afraid that some of you will go too far for lunch and not make it back to school in time. Because of this, we have asked the food comm for the camp to order some food for us. This will make it much more convenient for you guys please remember to bring 3 dollars to pay to Joel for the food. And dinner before the concert will also be provided, in case some of you didn’t already know

Another change is the holding rooms that you guys have been allocated. Today during camp debriefing Stella told you guys to meet at 3.6 on sat right? but we have changed that. The new rooms are: 3.9 for Guitar 1/2 and 3.13 for guitar 3/4. So, on saturday, please report to your respective venues the people in charge of the room keys (Zhen Min, 3.9 and Xin Lin, 3.13) please come look for the any of the exco members once you reach school on that day to collect the keys, ok?

ONE MORE THING: REMEMBER TO TRIM AND FILE YOUR NAILS ACCORDING TO HOW YOUR SLs TAUGHT YOU! but, if you don’t know how to do it, please go look for your SLs on saturday and bug them to do it for you

ACJC Guitar Ensemble would like to let all of you guys know that we are still selling our tickets (even on the day of the concert itself!)  (:

You can either obtain the tickets from a member of the ensemble or alternatively purchase them at the entrance of our concert venue, LT4.

Ticket price will remain at $6 each and all (100% of them) proceeds will be donated to help the terminally ill children at the Club Rainbow Society.

‘Tis the season of giving! So why not do your part and give a little more to those who are not as fortunate as us!

Hey ensemble, forgot to mention that the reporting attire is collegiate and school pants/skirts
1 pair of shoes and slippers means that if you are already wearing a pair of shoes, just bring a pair of slippers
And whatever quantity given on the packing list is what is recommended, if you do not mind living with less items (meaning less socks or towel as you’re re-using them) then you can bring less
haha the is for those who really mind their cleaniness in that sense
oh also remember to check that you’ve all the scores needed (:
